วันที่ 7 มีนาคม 2562 เวลา 10:00 น. นางอัมพวัน วรรณโก อธิบดีกรมท่าอากาศยาน มอบหมายให้ นายกำแหง สายวิภู ผู้อำนวยการท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุราษฎร์ธานี ร่วมงานแถลงข่าวเปิดให้บริการตู้ไปรษณีย์อัตโนมัติ (Automated Postal Machine: APM) โดยมี นายกันติทัด วุฒิวงศ์ ผู้จัดการฝ่ายสำนักงานไปรษณีย์ เขต 8 เป็นประธานในพิธี ทั้งนี้การติดตั้งตู้ไปรษณีย์อัตโนมัติเป็นการอำนวยความสะดวกและความปลอดภัยตามมาตรฐานสากลแก่ผู้โดยสารที่มาใช้บริการ รวมถึงเป็นทางเลือกที่ดีให้กับผู้โดยสาร ในการส่งแบตเตอร์รี่สำรองหรือสิ่งของต้องห้ามอื่นที่ไม่สามารถถือขึ้นเครื่องบินได้ โดยการส่งทางไปรษณีย์แทน ผู้โดยสารสามารถจัดส่งด้วยบริการไปรษณีย์ด่วนพิเศษ (EMS) ในอัตราค่าบริการ 50 บาทต่อชิ้น และสามารถส่งสิ่งของไปยังต่างประเทศได้ในอัตราค่าบริการ 450 บาทต่อชิ้น ผ่านเครื่องบริการไปรษณีย์ APM ในน้ำหนักไม่เกิน 10 กิโลกรัมต่อหนึ่งชิ้น ซึ่งตู้ไปรษณีย์อัตโนมัติเปิดให้บริการภายในท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุราษฎร์ธานี บริเวณ ชั้น 2 หน้าห้องผู้โดยสารขาออกภายในประเทศ

The passengers able to deliver with the Express Mail Service (EMS) at a service charge of
50 baht per piece and able to delivery the parcel to foreign countries at a rate of 450 baht per piece via the APM postal service in the weight not exceeding 10 kg per one piece ,which the automatic mail box is open for service in Suratthani International Airport on the 2nd floor in front of the domestic departure hall.
